Report for September. The war in Ukraine continues every day.

Every day, Ukrainian cities, villages, and infrastructure facilities are under the crosshairs of the Russian military. The result of these actions is not only the destruction of critical infrastructure objects, the result is the ruined lives of Ukrainian citizens who live in their country and have faced the military aggression of a neighboring country, which was always considered a brotherly state.

During the field missions of the West support inc. in Ukraine" also collects information on the need for humanitarian aid for residents of settlements who have lost their property in whole or in part, who currently need food, household items, personal hygiene products, and medicine. All these appeals are processed into a single register of humanitarian aid needs, and thanks to our partners - donors, we provide this aid. The quantity of volume of needs is huge, the main direction of needs today consists of building materials, food products, and means of heating premises. In September, joint work with the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories by the Unicef program was started to provide and transfer kits with things for home use to families with children. The program provides for the satisfaction of the above-mentioned priority needs for temporarily displaced persons in the cities of Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Poltava, as well as for families who remained in the regions where hostilities are directly ongoing, namely Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. Assistance will be provided to all citizens who pass verification on the lists of those in need of receiving sets with household items. Once again, we appeal to all our foreign partners and donors that as of today, the winter period of 2022-2023 is approaching in Ukraine, in connection with which we call on all our international partners to increase the presence of their programs in Ukraine. The issue is extremely important for those regions where citizens have lost or partially lost their homes, in some cities lighting, heating, and mobile communications will be cut off. The local government of each settlement is trying to do everything possible to restore the specified needs, but there are not enough opportunities for all needs. In September, humanitarian aid was provided in the following areas: • Medical preparations and first aid supplies were received by medical institutions of Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv regions, and the city of Kyiv; • Foodstuffs, food for long-term storage in canned food, and dry rations were transferred to the territory of Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions; • More than 22 tons of personal hygiene items and household items, warm items were transferred to humanitarian aid distribution centers; • Personal protective equipment such as 3rd and 4th protection class body armor, tactical first-aid kits, as well as tactical helmets were handed over to military medical facilities and special forces that protect Ukraine.

Representatives of the agency "West support inc. in Ukraine" continues a permanent joint mission with partner organizations and volunteers to evacuate the civilian population in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Donetsk regions by providing vehicles.

As of the end of August, 20 settlements were liberated from the Russian occupation in the southern and western directions, in connection with which, the number of injured citizens who had the opportunity to receive assistance increased.
